The Niles Home for Children provides residential treatment, day treatment and alternative education services to over 150 children annually between the ages of 6 through 17 from Kansas and Missouri. Since 1883, the Niles Home has provided a safe and caring environment for children who suffer the trauma of neglect, abuse and abandonment as they are supported and guided through the healing process toward becoming confident and contributing citizens.

Hamilton is CI Portfolio Analytics Leader for Swiss Re and has served as board secretary and chairman of the Assessment Committee for Niles. He currently volunteers with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters, DuBois Learning Center, Friends of Alvin Ailey, and TruFriends. Hamilton also serves on the Finance & Economic Development Committees of the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City.
"It is a great honor to chair the board as we approach our 125th anniversary. Many lives have been positively impacted by Niles. Our president and CEO, Valerie Nicholson-Watson, and her team are positioning the agency to impact even more lives through our signature care as we move forward," said Mr. Hamilton.
Other officers installed were: Vice Chairman, LaDonna Gooden - Community Representative; Secretary, Kris Kappel Miller, Esq. - Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP; Treasurer, Carol Gilstrap - US Bank; and Parliamentarian, Eric Martin, Esq. - UMKC School of Law.
Mr. Hamilton concluded the annual meeting by acknowledging Michael Shaughnessy of MetLife for his dedication as a board member over the last 10 years and leadership as board chair for the last three.
